San Francisco’s honor: The George W. Bush Sewage Plant

June 26, 2008 · 1 Comment

This November, San Francisco voters could decide whether or not to rename a local water treatment plant the George W. Bush Sewage Plant. The proposal, which was conceived at a bar, has nearly enough signatures to make it onto the ballot, according to organizers. If it passes, supporters plan to inaugurate the name change with thousands of “synchronized flushes” across the Bay Area.
